Zach's 4th Birthday at Granpda & Grandma O'Briens

Such a ham for the camera
Now we have 121 pcs to build with...how exciting!

Ethan really enjoyed his dessert
So did Zach!

We went down to visit my parents today to celebrate Zach's b-day and go to Discovery Kingdom. They watched Bella for us, so we only had the 2 boys. What fun we had in the 104 degree temps.....

Ethan's new 2 word phrase

So, we are working with Ethan on developing his 2 word phrases since he speaks so many single words. John taught Zach this same phrase and it sounds so funny coming from Ethan...watch and see.

Ethan and Bella

He is wondering what kind of trouble he can get into next...

Say cheese....

We got some one on one time with Ethan and Bella today, Zach went to bed a bit early due to bad behavior....it was a lot of fun for Ethan to have mommy and daddy almost to himself.

Ethan's saggy diaper

So we had a little fun with Ethan and his full diaper...since it was hanging down soooo low! Enjoy the video

Monterey Aquarium

Zach just finished learning about sea stars and their tubuals...so it was great to show him first hand
The jellyfish were so beautiful
Ethan is the tall one (ie. on John's shoulders)
The boys got up close and personal with a shark
Ethan saying cheese at the camera
They had sooo many hands on things for the boys to enjoy
Yes, I look tired, but I figured I usually am the one taking the pictures, so John took this one of me.
Sea otters out in the bay
Ethan, up close and personal with a sea otter

Can you find the sea horse?
Zach loved this display because Dori from Finding Nemo was here.
Ethan's excuse to play in the water and not have mommy get upset for splashing all over the place
We had a hard time getting Ethan off this rocking sea horse
If you can see it, Zach is dressed up as Nemo in this picture
The penguins ended our day at the aquarium

We absolutely loved the aquarium...they are soooo kid friendly and hands on for even children as young as ours!! We spent about 5 hours and ran through it but the boys loved every moment of it!

Roaring Camp in Felton

The start of our day...this bridge dated back to the 1800's
The boys had such fun with this barn..in and out and in and out
John being silly...like normal!

Ethan stopped to smell the flowers

Family pic on the train right before we left for out 75 minute train ride.

The boys....

Just like to look up sometimes at how tall the trees were....

The boys on a HUGE redwood

Family pic at the top of the mountain

The engine blew out its steam right before we got back to the depot...it was a cool site!

Okay, so one of the main reasons we chose the Santa Cruz area was for Roaring Camp railroad. We all know how much the boys LOVE/OBSESS over their trains. They had such fun and John and I enjoyed the relaxation of a train ride and the beauty of the redwood forest
