3 Weeks old

Ethan turned 3 weeks old today....and he has been such a joy to our family. Big brother Zach loves to help out by getting his pacifier for him and also the wipes when he needs changing. Most of the time I don't need to even ask...Zach just gets things for me. We are very proud of Zach and his new role as big brother. Ethan had a check up on Thursday and he is up to 9 lbs 7 1/2 ozs and 22 inches long. All that eating he is doing seems to be working for him (too bad it means little sleep for me :-)) . We are very blessed though to have wonderful children for us to love.

Daddy's Shoes

Zach enjoys walking around in Daddy's shoes a lot these days...he is growing up so quickly.

Ethan's Homecoming

Does this look like a happy new father to you??

All the statistics.....

All dressed up and ready for Christmas

Our boys...Can you believe that Zach actually sat still for this??

Going home as a family

Our going home outfit....

We are home and our family is complete!! It was so great to get out of the hospital and back into our new home where we can relax and play and sleep (okay, sleep maybe). Ethan has been great since we got home this morning and Zach actually kissed him on the head and pointed at "baby" several times. He doesn't like it when baby cries and lets mommy know right away. Enjoy the pictures

Our first full day

Ethan has been such a mellow baby so far...what a blessing!! They have pricked and poked him and the nurses have told us that he puts up little to no fuss. He looks great and is right on track the dr.'s have let us know...which means we will be headed home tomorrow with our newest bundle of joy! Mandy and Maria came by earlier today with their babies and we had our first playdate here at the hospital. What fun!! The kids are all 3 months apart and I look forward to them growing up together and become fun friends. Zach and my parents just left..Zach now likes to point at the "baby" and then promptly ignores him. It will be interesting to see how things change once we get home. Thank you again for all of your prayers and support. We appreciate all of you!!

Ethan Michael Judd

Ethan has arrived!!!! Praise God that we have a beautifl healthy baby boy!! He is very, very mellow so far....they pricked him already several times and he has done very well...no crying. He is feeding great and currently sleeping...until when, well we aren't sure but we are going to try and get some rest in between. Feel free to call us tomorrow or visit here at Sutter Roseville, Rm 110. We will update more later...off to sleep until the nurse or Ethan decides to get us back up!!

Ethan has arrived!!

Our precious baby boy is here... He arrived rather quickly after we came back to the hospital this afternoon. They checked us in at 2:45 and he arrived a tiny bit past 3 hours later. Statistics are as follows: Ethan Michael Judd, Born Dec. 8th, 2007. Weight: 8lbs 5 ozs. Length: 21 1/4 inches. Tme: 5:53pm. Here are some pictures for you....enjoy!!!

Ready to go

Heather is ready and they are getting things prepped for her to start pushing.

We are in!

After a not so great night and a long morning, we headed back to the hospital to see how things are progressing. Heather is at 7cm fully afaced. I don't know what that means, but for those of you who do, I'm trying to give as much information as I can. She has been addmitted and we will be having this baby tonght. I say we, but she's the one doing all the work. I'm just kind of a manager at this point. They just broke her water, so there is no turning back now.

Sent home....

Hi all....well we got the contractions to 3-5 mins apart last night and I was 4 cms dialated as of 9pm last night. I didn't show enough progress so they sent us home to rest and wait. They gave me something for the pain but that didn't kick in until well after midnight...ouch! :-) Contractions are still approx. 5 mins apart but we have now been told that I can't get back in unless we are 2-3 mins and/or my water breaks....so the waiting game has begun. Talk to you all soon!!!

Today....might be our day!!

Just wanted to update everyone that we have been having contractions since 10:30 last night. At this point in time (ie. 1:36pm) they are about 7-10 mins. apart. We are just waiting for my parents to arrive so we can head out the door. We will keep you updated as things progress. Feel free to call on John's cell 619.244.4886 (San Diego based) if you would like to talk to us.....Yeah!!!! Baby Ethan is coming, at least we hope!

Week 39...a little progress

Hi all and I hope that this beautiful season finds you filled with joy and love. We had our 39 week appt. and found out that Ethan has dropped into position and we are now at 1cm dialated!! The doctor was soooo excited for me, but it was hard to get tooo excited because I really want to be induced this weekend. He wasn't willing to talk much about it until next week though.... We are continuing to pray for a healthy and happy Ethan...but now..not next week. As you can tell patience isn't one of the great virtues that the Lord has blessed me with. :-) We will keep you updated as things progress. Much love to you all and Merry Christmas

Looking for a Christmas Tree

Our perfect tree!!!!!!!!

Zach loved crawling around and laying in these pebbles on the ground...he got sooooooo dirty

The boys were sizing up this tree...but it wasn't quite perfect

Zach really enjoyed getting to run around at the outdoor tree lot

We started out at Costco...but soon moved onto bigger trees

Saturday was the day that we went on the search for the best Christmas tree for our new house. With our tall ceilings we were very excited about getting a big tree this year...and after a couple of hours and 2 different places we found our perfect tree. Enjoy

Week 38 and patiently waiting???

Today we hit the week 38 mark and Ethan seems to be more than comfortable where he is right now. The dr. said that I haven't dilated at all!!! But a lot can change between now and next Wednesday. He will be on call next weekend (ie. week 39) so we might start talking induction next week so that he can deliver Ethan. We are just praying for patience and a little sleep right now as we count down the days until our little boy arrives. Enjoy your week.

Thanksgiving at the Judds

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home this year....in our NEW home!! What a blessing it was to have family drop in and my parents here for dinner. Heather's Uncle Rick, Aunt Phyllis and cousin Mike stopped by in the morning. Grandma Sheila and Aunt Connie dropped by for dessert in the evening and Heather's parents were here all day and Tim dropped by late in the day to stay the night. Linda, Tim and Heather were out at midnight at the folsom outlets shopping until 3am and then hit the Roseville mall again at 8am until 5ish..... What an exciting day. If all that walking doesn't start labor nothing will.... :-) We hope that your Thanksgiving was wonderful and joyous.
