Maria and Mandy hosted a wonderful baby shower for me on Feb. 14th. It was such a treat to see everyone and catch up a bit since our lives are all so very busy with children. I had a fantastic time and was overwhelmed by all the friends that showed up to help us celebrate this new little life which will be here in about 7 weeks. WOW!!

Ethan is walking....

Well our baby boy is up and cruising on his own. Each day he seems to get a little more confident and takes a few more steps. He can (if he isn't paying attention) walk across the room now between the furniture and/or toys. It is so exciting to see his progress. I will post a video as soon as I get him on video.

Our update

It has been a bit since I have done an update on the boys, John and I, so I thought I would just take a moment to say HI.

We are so excited to say that Ethan took his first steps today...he walked 2-3 steps twice for me and then 1 more time when daddy got home. It is so fun to watch the joy on his face as we get so excited for him...even though he has no clue what he has done. Things are going great for him and he is all over and into everything. He loves to try and play with the train table that the boys got for Christmas but ends up destroying it more than playing...thus the name Ethanzilla. :-)

Zach is just talking up a storm...and the only time he tends to be quiet is when he is sleeping. Thus, in the car he talks non-stop when he is tired to keep from falling asleep. It is so funny to listen to him talk, talk, talk and then take a breath and suddenly it is dead silent in the back of the car....he fell asleep. He is taking some interest in knowing what different words are and he very much enjoys helping mommy cook. Especially dessert type things. Daddy enjoys that one!

John is doing well at work and enjoying this project that he has been working on for over 1 year now. It looks like it might be done sometime in July but we shall see.... He has been going to a trivia night with 5 other guys from church every Tuesday night and really is enjoying himself. I like to see him getting out with the guys! Thursday night is Bible Study for us and he is actually going to be leading this week. That will be fun!!

Things for me?? Well, they are going well. We hit 30 weeks on Thursday..so the countdown is officially on. The dr. says I am measuring well and the babies heartbeat is nice and strong. Zach likes to put the jelly on my belly everytime we go to see the dr. It is cute! The boys all keep me busy but I have great friends to talk to and spend time with, so it gets me through some of those not so hot days (ie. cranky boys).

Christmas Eve with the Judd's and O'Brien's

We had my family here for Christmas Eve dinner and games. We enjoyed having mom and dad and Tim here for a quick visit...and then saw them again on Christmas day at their house. The boys enjoyed getting to open that one present before they went off to bed and Santa came to visit.

Big Steve, Sheila, Lil' Steve, Susie and baby Eden all came up for a visit on the 23rd until the morning of the 24th. We had such a wonderful time hanging out, catching up, opening some presents and meeting baby Eden who just turned 6 months. We love to have our family come and visit...it is such a joy.

John and Brian worked hard to get the boys train table put together on Christmas Eve...we had to listen carefully at all times because we never know when Zach is going to wake up and get out of bed to come and see us.....

We had such fun going to pick out our Christmas tree this year....especially since Zach wanted to take each and every one of them home with us. He found a couple of pieces of pine on the ground and proceeded to drag it around with him and also bring it home. What fun!!!
